Terrific is at Fórum E-Commerce Brasil 2026, the 17th edition of what the organizers call the largest e-commerce gathering in the world, running July 28 to 30 at Distrito Anhembi. We are here with our Brazilian partner StarLive, a master sponsor of the event and the country's leading live commerce agency.
If you are on the floor, come find us. If you are not, here is what the room looks like from where we are standing.
Earlier this month we announced our partnership with StarLive, and the Fórum is the first time the two teams are showing the combined motion in person.
The split is simple. StarLive brings eight years of live selling experience in Brazil, more than 50 studios, over 1,000 trained live sellers, and more than R$100 million in sales generated for clients. They run the show. Terrific brings the infrastructure that show runs on: white label live shopping, shoppable video, and an always-on video feed that sit directly on a brand's own domain, with checkout in the player and every interaction turning into first-party data the brand keeps.
Execution and infrastructure in one motion. That is the whole pitch, and in Brazil it lands quickly.
StarLive is not new to this. The agency was founded by Evelyn B. Marques and Marcio Osako, and in November 2025 it opened StarLive(Shop) Street Studio in Vila Madalena, the first publicly accessible live shop studio gallery in Brazil, built on the model of the dedicated live commerce complexes in China.
The space runs 10 professional studios at the same time, from 10:00 to midnight, which works out to as much as 140 hours of live broadcast per day. Each studio comes with professional lighting, cameras, audio, script monitors, flexible sets, and technical support. Brands use it, and so do independent live sellers, with no minimum follower count required. StarLive trains sellers on the craft of selling live rather than on building an audience, which is why the network now counts more than 1,000 active professionals.
That is the production capacity sitting behind this partnership. Terrific supplies the destination those broadcasts point at: the brand's own site.
Three things, all running live on real storefronts:
Plus the AI layer that builds an event strategy from a brand's URL, co-pilots the host in real time, and turns each session into insight for the next one.
Part of why this event matters is the density. The organizers are expecting more than 45,000 participants, over 1,500 companies, and thousands of C-level decision makers across three days, with structured business rounds and a full demo floor.
A sample of the brands, platforms, and retailers taking part this year:
Marketplaces and retail: Mercado Livre, Amazon, Magalu, Shopee, Dafiti, Leroy Merlin, MadeiraMadeira, Webcontinental
Commerce platforms and cloud: VTEX, Nuvemshop, Tray, Wake, Google Cloud, SAP, TOTVS
Payments and data: Adyen, Mastercard, Mercado Pago, Cielo, Stone, Serasa Experian
Media, content, and retail media: Globo, Pinterest, Kwai Brasil, TikTok Shop, Criteo, Topsort
Logistics and operations: Loggi, Intelipost, Infracommerce, Cubbo
Almost every conversation at the booth arrives at the same place.
Brazilian brands have become genuinely good at building audiences on platforms. Mobile-first consumers, an enormous creator economy, real fluency in live selling. The question they are now asking is what happens to all of that when the algorithm changes, when reach gets more expensive, or when the platform decides which of their followers get to see them.
The answer we give is the same one we give everywhere: run the video where you own the outcome. Same content, same creators, same energy, on your domain, where the viewer, the engagement, the order, and the data belong to you.
That framing is showing up on the stages here too. The technology track is built around agentic commerce, the marketing track keeps returning to how AI is rewriting product discovery, and retail media is treated as a core revenue line rather than an experiment. All three point in the same direction: owned channels and owned data are becoming the asset.
The volume of qualified conversation here is the reason we came. Over three days we are meeting national retailers, fast growing DTC brands, marketplace sellers, agencies, and media groups, from Brazil and from across Latin America.
The patterns repeat. Retailers with strong category pages want always-on shoppable video working on them. Brands with an existing creator roster want those creators selling on the brand's own site instead of only on the platform. Media groups want the video and the audience data to stay in house so they can sell it to sponsors. Marketplace sellers want a direct channel that is not priced by someone else.
Different starting points, one shared conclusion: the video, the audience, and the data are worth more when the brand owns them.
We are on the floor through July 30 with the StarLive team. If you are here, come see live shopping, shoppable video, and Timeline running on real storefronts.
